If you're new to the world of couponing, you may be wondering what in the world “coupon stacking” is and why all the fuss about it. Coupon stacking is when a store allows you to use both a manufacturer’s coupon and a store coupon on the same item. When you can pair both of these coupons with a good sale, the end result is huge savings and/or possibly even free merchandise!
A perfect example is the Tinker Bell DVD deal I shared the other day:
Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure DVD Combo, $19.99
$10/1 Tinker Bell DVD Combo printable (IE) or printable (FF)
$5 off any DVD Target printable
$4.99 after coupons!
So you're using one manufacturer's coupon and one Target store coupon on the same item which results in the movie only being $4.99. This policy is actually posted at each checkout in many stores now.
Nearly all stores that offer store coupons allow them to be stacked with a manufacturer's coupon. Other stores that you may be familiar with are CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, and Publix to name a few.
