A couple months ago I met a massage therapist with her own amazing invention, and I knew I just had to share it with all of you.  The product I now carry everywhere with me?  Massage balls infused with aromatherapy called t spheres.  They're small, great for travel, and enable me to ease tension and pain from my feet, hands and everywhere else.  Relaxation techniques like this have frankly gone untapped lately -- and my mind and body are paying for it!

You may be doing the grocery shopping with reusable bags or have stopped using harsh chemicals to clean with at home, but how green is your workout?  Here are 5 ideas to get you in the right direction:

1.  Use your own water bottle -- Help reduce waste by reducing the plastic bottles.  There are so many great stainless steel bottles, including some that even have a water filter built in.  Purchasing a nice eco-friendly water bottle is a great way to stay motivated and keep hydrated as well!

I sit and look at my closet full of clothes that don't fit.

I know there's weight to lose, I know this.  And I really logically want to.

But ever since losing my baby at 18 weeks in January, I have something in the way of my motivation to lose the pounds.

Our diet is so vital to overall health, and looking at changes we can implement when battling depression is a must for any mom.  These are some great fundamentals to keeping mood swings down and increasing nutrition to a level that can actually heal.  Prevention is also the best plan, so take these to heart even if depression isn't currently an issue for you.

We've moved the clocks ahead, and daylight is hanging around longer, so why stay in the dark gym or our dreary living room? It's finally lovely outside, time to find some exercises outdoors that can put a spring in our step!

*Warm up. Start off with 5 to 10 minutes of walking, light jogging, jumping jacks or jumping rope. Then perform the following series of exercises all the way through and, if you’re up for more, repeat two to three times.

Have you ever wished you could have more energy in the morning?  I have been absolutely dragging these days, the combination of stress and less sleep severely catching up with me.  When I have less energy, I'm less likely to want to work out (even though that would provide said energy - doh!) and then less likely to meet deadlines, less likely to be patient with the kids, etc etc etc.

“People who say they sleep like babies often don’t have them.” Getting your beauty sleep can be tough once baby arrives. Not enough shut eye can lead to red eyes and more. Seeing dark circles under my eyes as I walked past a mirror was just the wake up call I needed to get serious about sleep. Committing to getting enough sleep is just as important as committing to good nutrition and exercise. Did you know that in addition to carrying around your little one, moms with newborns could be carrying an extra 11 pounds of weight if they get less than 5 hours of sleep?

We just recently had the flu sweep through our family. Every single one of us got sick, within a week’s time, with the exception of Daddy. It seems that as a general rule either everyone gets the bug all at once, like last week, or the virus is spread out over the course of several days, or even weeks. Either way you slice it, having a bug run it's course through any family is never fun, but when there are 8 of us affected.. ugh. Not to mention the chaos that ensues when mommy gets sick... we won't even go there!
