It’s always a great debate for families on when they should take the infamous and highly coveted Disney vacation. People always tend to want to wait until the kids are older so they’ll remember it better and will be “easier” to travel with. However, I’ve gone twice with young kids and I’d like to make the case for going sooner, rather than later. (Of course, if possible, I’d prefer the option to go again and again when kids are both young and old!)

And here are my top 5 reasons to bring the little ones to Disney World.  Trust me, it’s worth it!

As much as I love being at home and making it the best place in the world for our family, I like to see the world too!

I love to travel, visit new places, meet different people and try exotic foods.
But one of the best things about traveling is what we bring home.
It is the memories, the photos, the mementos and the souvenirs.
And the inspiration.

Last month, I left my family behind to catch a plane to Orlando, FL to embark on an exciting cruising adventure Disney style. I joined 2 other Mommy Bloggers for a 3-Night Bahamian cruise to Nassau, Bahamas and Disney's Private Island - Castaway Cay. This was my very 1st cruise and 1st official Disney Press trip so I really enjoyed getting a sneak peek behind the scenes.

Remember the old days, when your mom would look at the road sign and say: “Twenty more miles till the next rest stop! If you’ve gotta go, you’d better go now!”

These days, a mom will whip out her iPhone and check a rest stop application, or maybe find an app that shows her where the cleanest potty in a two-mile radius is. The preponderance of information available about our surroundings at any moment can definitely ease the pain of being out of a home routine.

Since we travel often with three kids, on more than one rainy day we’ve wanted to hit a children’s museum in a city we were visiting. And although I know it’s worth it, I’ll admit I flinch a little when I fork over $60 to get in.

Ahhhh, summer. The living is easy, but as soon as you get used to how the steering wheel burns your hands every day, it’s time to snap up the lunchboxes before Target runs out!

Here are a few ideas to make sure you’re squeezing the final drops of relaxation from August’s dog days.

1. Shake up your routine: Some afternoons it’s so hot, you don’t even want to go to the pool. But try flipping the schedule: pack a picnic dinner and take your family over as the sun begins to set. Let the breeze cool you down, and check out the sunset. Bonus: it won’t be crowded!
